Media Personality Mwende Macharia has recently expressed her deep dissatisfaction with certain private schools that have chosen to disregard the President’s message regarding the postponement of school opening dates due to the ongoing floods affecting numerous regions in the country.
President Ruto,concerning the flood situation and its impact on the lives of many Kenyan, made the decision to postpone the resumption of schools until a later date, which would be communicated in due course.However, Mwende Macharia has taken to social media to voice her concerns about private schools that have proceeded with their academic activities, despite the existing challenges posed by the floods.

In her Instagram post, Mwende has questioned the rationale behind these schools defying the President’s directive, emphasizing the seriousness of the flooding situation across the country.
“Why are some private schools defying the President’s directive on school opening dates? I have observed that certain schools are continuing with their second term operations as if the country isn’t currently grappling with a national disaster caused by the floods. What is happening?” She wrote.
Mwende Macharia has emphasized that the flooding situation in the country demands serious attention.The media personality has urged private schools to reconsider their actions and demonstrate solidarity with the government’s efforts to manage the crisis effectively.
