“Hatuna Kaswende”: KTN Anchor Ali Manzu Sets The Record Straight
KTN news anchor Ali Manzu has set the record straight over the viral allegations that the Standard Group’s media employees are suffering from Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
Taking to his social handles, the Swahili news editor said the information spread online alleging SG’s staff members were suffering from Syphilis, Gonorrhea and HIV and AIDs was fake.
Ali Manzu said all the staff members at Standard Group are healthy and reporting to work as usual and that netizens should treat the malicious rumours aimed at tainting the name of the celebrated media house as fake.

“Thanks for your calls, DMs & even those we met this past week asking about the SGL syphilis issue. We are all fine. No one has any Kaswende, kisonono or mkanda wa jeshi.
“Sadly, some people can sit and come up with such fake news of insolvency yet we are all putting efforts to stay afloat. SGL will not go down, we will get back soon.” Manzu cleared the air.
The senior news editor went ahead and said despite the media firm facing financial challenges, it’s yet to reach a point where it’s declared insolvent.

“As much as we have challenges, the young and energetic staff, are striving to make ends meet, collectively. It’s a painful process, but we cannot fall for fake news. Focus.” He added.
Further, he emphasized that the staff members of SG are healthy and none of the employees is infected with STDs.
“Again, we assure you that we don’t have kaswende, kisonono nor mkanda wa jeshi,” Manzu emphasized.
The rumours started to spread early this week where an unidentified person alleged that the staff members at KTN were battling Syphillis and that the company (Standard Group) would be declared insolvent in May.
