Kenyan TikToker Cindy Baibe has shared the frustrations she encountered at Brian Chira’s burial ceremony in Githunguri, Kiambu County on March 26, 2024.
In a viral video, the TikToker said she was treated unfairly at the late Chira’s burial ceremony when she enquired about the availability of food from one of the mourners.
As a norm, she expected to be served some food but ended up leaving the burial ceremony hungry. According to the TikToker, when she enquired about the availability of food, she was directed to a soda and water.

“Niko na njaa wacha tu, nimepewa tu maji ya Chira. Hakuna food,” Cindy the TikToker complained in the video.
“Nimemwambia basi nionyeshe tent nataka kupanga line. Akaniambia sasa unataka kupanga line kwa watu? Si uende ukunywe soda na maandazi. Sitoki hapa. Mninbuyie food hata sijakula. Ninyimwe food. Sawa tu! Chakula yenye mtu ataenda atoe,” she said.
The TikToker’s complaints have caused a buzz on social media hours after Brian Chira was buried at his ancestral land in Kiambu. During the burial ceremony, Kenyan Afro singer Otile Brown united TikTok fans after he performed his “One Call” song.

Addressing the media after the performance, Otile revealed that it was out of love that he went to perform at Chira’s burial ceremony because the late loved the song.
His sentiments came when a section of social media users alleged Otile hyped to perform at Chira’s burial as a way of chasing clout to promote his song.
