Langata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor popularly known as Jalas has opened up on how ended up working for the legendary Tanzania singer Diamond Platnumz.
In an exclusive on Radio 47, Jalas narrated his Mceeing journey during his prime years of hustling by saying when Diamond Platnumz was rising to the limelight, he invited him to Mc his show in Malindi.
While in Malindi, things started well though goosebumps took place when the event organizers failed to pay them. Jalas said the answers they received from the organisers left them shocked, but they had to bow in their direction.

“Nenda mlale kesho muamke mje mchukue pesa zenu na saa hizo Diamond hana security hata mmoja au manager. Anatembea tu pekee.” He disclosed what the organisers told them and Diamond’s financial status looked like.
In the morning, they looked up to the event organisers for their payment to no avail. He disclosed that they even tried to call sponsors, but the phone was off.
Hence, he was to return to Nairobi, Diamond Platnumz on the other hand to Tanzania, the singer never had fare and that made Jalang’o come for his aid.

After the encounter, the lawmaker added that uncountable questions raced through their head to the extent that they alleged having been conned.
“Ilibidi Diamond aanze kuchangachanga nami nikamwongezea akapata. Kutoka hiyo siku, Diamond hajawahi sahau urafiki wetu. Hata ndiyo baadaye nilisign na kuwa official MC wake.
“Akija Kenya, alikuwa anasema yupo na MC wake na hulipwa kiasi fulani cha pesa na zile Hela hakuwa amenilipa kwa shows nilifanya, alinilipa na maisha kuendelea hivyo hivyo.” Jalang’o narrated on Radio 47.
Currently, Jalang’o is a Member of Parliament in Lang’ata Constituency, Nairobi County where he is serving his first term as the area MP.
