Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai has won accolades after he was captured on video fighting with goons hired by land grabbers to protect a stolen public land in his ward.

A video of the fearless Twitter big wig-turned-politician exchanging blows with the goons at the land in question made its way into the interwebs on Tuesday, March 18.

In the video, Alai was seen fighting over five men who were trying to bar him from accessing the property.

Alai, being Alai and in his fearless nature somewhat overpowered the goons in a move that impressed many Kenyans on social media, especially Twitter.

The video, which was first made public by user Lord Abraham Mutai spread online fast like bushfire and attracted the attention of many Kenyans who lauded the MCA for his bravery.

Kileleshwa MCA @RobertAlai literally in a physical fight with Goons hired by land grabbers grabbing land in Kilileshwa – Mwingi Road: LR 23/576 and LR 23/577. Goons couldn’t handle the pressure from Alai who overpowered them at some point. Nairobi is falling into anarchy!” Mutai captioned the video.

Countless tweeps thronged the comments section of the tweet to heap praises on Alai for being a selfless leader who has been consistent in fighting land grabbers not just in his ward but the entire Nairobi county.

Below are some comments from Kenyans on X:

Kawangware’s Finest:

“We must bring these thugs into books @DCI_Kenya, arrest these goons and their financier. It is very wrong to batter the elected leader because he can’t be bought by the land grabbers. Hon @RobertAlai we must win, don’t be intimidated by greedy developers.”

Attenduntommycry:

Kudos @RobertAlai for standing up to them! Impunity is on a new level in Nairobi.”

The Phineas:

”With this video,he should find them one by one. Kwanza huyo wa blue”

It should be noted that this is not the first time Alai is making headlines for fighting land grabbers in Nairobi.

The MCA has over the years been using his Twitter page to expose, shame and fight people grabbing public land in Nairobi.
