Father Olouwa a Nigerian Catholic priest has urged single women over 5 years of age to propose to men rather than wait to be approached.
In the outdated sermon shared online, the priest caused a sensational buzz on social media by telling the over 35-year-old single women that their time to wait for ideal men to propose to them had elapsed.
According to the priest, some men lack the courage to approach women thus, if a woman takes heed of old notions that she may look desperate when she approaches a man, she will end up not married.

“My dear sisters, are you waiting for a man to come and propose to you? I say this seriously, if you are a woman who knows she deserves to be married, you know you can be a good wife, and you are 35 years old, if you see a man who has intentions for you but lacks the courage to tell you, break that wrong rule and pursue that man. You won’t die,” the priest advised.
The vocal man of the cloth added that women shouldn’t let the unwritten rules bar them from pursuing their dream men because we have beautiful marriages founded by women who took bold steps to approach men who are currently their husbands.
Besides the unwritten rules, the man of the cloth also said when they approach their dream men, they should also tell the men what they are capable of doing when they get married because that would add weight and make the men move in.

“Tell him, ‘Brother, I’ve noticed you look at me a lot, I know you love me but you lack the courage to speak up’… right there, the guy will start laughing and swallowing words, tell him you will make it easy for him.
“Tell him that you are good at cooking, you will be a good wife, you won’t check his phone, you won’t give him a headache, and you will be a good mother to your children,” the priest added.
