Who Was Mr. Ibu? What you Must Know About The Fallen Actor
Mr. Ibu, who’s real name is John Okafor passed away one day ago. The late actor, John Okafor, made more than 200 movies that people loved. Sadly, he died at 62 on a Saturday after being sick for a long time. Mr Ibu was famous not only in Kenya but all around the world for his funny acting.
He became well-known in 2004 when he played the main character in a popular movie called “Mr Ibu.” This made him famous, and people started referring to him as Mr. Ibu. The success of the movie led to more films like “Mr Ibu 2,” “Mr Ibu and His Son,” “Mr Ibu in London and in Prison”.

Apart from acting, he also tried his hand in music, releasing songs in October 2020. Born on October 17, 1961, in Nigeria, he faced challenges in his early life. After his father died, he did different jobs to support his education and family.
Married twice, he leaves behind his second wife, Stella Maris Okafor, and more than 10 children, some of whom are adopted. Despite facing financial difficulties, he worked hard, becoming successful and enrolling in a college.
In October 2023, his health got worse while filming a movie. He shared a video on Instagram asking for help with medical expenses. In November 2023, his right leg was amputated due to his illness. Despite this, his health didn’t improve, and he was readmitted in January 2024. Sadly, he passed away from a heart attack in Evercare Hospital, Lagos, Nigeria.
