Beryl Itindi, a social media bard has shared her experience in the hands of a Kenyan lover living abroad who conned her and mistreated her after she visited him.
Taking to her Facebook profile, Itindi said when dating the Kenyan man, she had not discovered any red flag that could bar her from either dating him or visiting him.
Starting from the grassroots, she revealed that the man sweet-talked her to the extent of using her own money as fare to pay him a visit on a refund by also carrying traditional foods including pumpkin leaves.

“Baby, I need you to come but you will pay for your Visa and return air ticket, I will refund” she disclosed the trap she fell into.
“When you come, please carry for me omena, maize flour, tilapia, traditional vegetables, braids…” her then Kenyan lover added.
Being a kind-hearted woman who believes in supporting each other in a relationship, there was no way she’d have betrayed her “moneyed” lover working “abroad” by not getting him whatever he wanted from Kenya.

“I later ordered 4 gorogoros of omena fresh from my home. My aunty deep-fried them so well. They looked yummy. I bought fish. I think they were 14 pieces. Well deep fried by my aunty back at home. I also ordered two traditional chickens from home.
“Also in my shopping were two types of traditional vegetables with Liseveve topping the list. I bought lots of other stuff that he had requested me to buy. I bought maize flour, I think it was 6kgs and chapati flour 4kgs.” Conned Itindi said.
After assembling whatever her man wanted and taking a flight abroad, humorous Itindi revealed that things were never the same as she wished. The man she thought had money, turned out stingy and narcist.

Nearly throughout her stay with him, he never bought different meals in the house but left her feed on the food she had carried along from Kenya.
“He would go to work every morning leaving me at home alone. No TV, no radio. I survived on my phone. People, I ate Omena and Liseveve throughout my stay. Okay, 95% of my stay…and it wasn’t a short stay! The food that I carried from Kenya was my breakfast, lunch and supper daily.” She added.
Having eaten a lot of Kenyan meals, she also disclosed that there was a day the man took her out for a “date” and bought her a burger but complained about the expenditure throughout her stay.
“One day I begged him to buy me a burger and wuuuuuueh…he lectured me from here to Antananarivo!! “Are you a baby to ask me for a burger?” He refused. I coiled myself, warmed my omena and Liseveve and ate with ugali.” Itindi narrated.
Despite serving all the silent battles and being a villager who never had any information about the routes, a day came when returned to Kenya but the man never refunded her money. He conned her but the horrible experience is what she has never forgotten despite having forgiven him.
“This story is hard to tell because it gets even harder as it goes. Just know I was refunded nothing! Nothing! Nothing! Nothing! Also, he asked me for a huge amount of money which he never refunded. He put me in a very bad place with my finances. I’ve not yet healed financially. He gave me chest pains!” Humorous Luhya Bard noted.
