“Due to the turn of events that led to the cancellation of the planned wedding a few hours before D-Day, I chose to spend time alone at home reflecting on the good things life had given me and how God had been good to me,” Rono said.
“If the wedding had happened, I would have taken my partner out to dinner. That opportunity will wait for someone else” He added.
As he takes his time to heal from the love heartbreak, the Bomet man added that he’s still off the market but not ready to commit himself to a new relationship.

“I am not in the market for a partner but still healing and trying to settle down. However, I haven’t closed the door to love. It will be reopened and when the time comes, I will make it known,” Rono said.
However, he added that the heartbreak came in disguise but also made him strong on matters concerning relationships. According to him, if it were another person, perhaps he might have died by suicide.
“I was heartbroken, but I am here, I have taken it all in stride. If I had not had enough support, probably I would have taken my own life. I am a living example of never giving up in life and focusing on the greater good despite the circumstances,” he disclosed.
To those in relationships, he advised them to be on the watch, strong and stay focused on their dreams. In a scenario where things may fall out, he urged the youth not to end their lives or take revenge.
