“You know people just ran with what they got from propaganda blogs. The truth is, yes I was suspended but just from going on the air. However, I am still at work and performing other editorial duties. I am at the office as we speak.” Swaleh Mdoe told Mideyah Digital.

“My people should relax, I will soon be back on air.” He added.

He, however, did not disclose when he would be getting back on air but assured his fans that everything was fine at the Dennis Pritt Road-based media house and that his job was secure.

Mdoe’s feedback comes just hours after reports of his suspension at Citizen TV went viral.

Sources at RMS intimate to Mideyah Digital hissed that the journalist did not inform his boss on the day he missed the bulletin, leading to the current state of affairs.

The source further disclosed that Swaleh had gone for a medical check-up on the day he missed presenting the daytime news bulletin.

The journalist had come out to look for a buyer for his kidney, holding that he had gone broke by the time he was getting back on the air.

“I have decided to sell one of my kidneys after consulting my doctor on the matter. I have some pressing financial issues that I want to offset and all I can think of right now is selling my kidney.
