“Wanakula Mara Moja Kwa Siku”:Luanda Villa Coach Pleads For Help For His Players
Kenya National Super League (NSL) side Luanda Villa are in the dire need of help as stated by the club’s head coach Tom Tera. Tera says his players are struggling to have all the three meals.
Luanda Villa participates in Kenya’s second tier league in the country football league system. The club is currently placed in position seven with 28 points which is 14 points behind league leaders Naivas FC. Luanda Villa are hoping to finish on top of the table and clinch the NSL title which probably earns them a direct qualification to Kenya’s Main League.
Their dreams of playing in the Kenya Premier League seems to have started fading as the club and the players are facing financial constraints with club not in a position to provide all the three meals to their players with head coach Tom Tera saying that the playing surviving on a one meal a day.
Speaking to one news outlet, Tera asked the club’s supporters to come to the aid of the club, saying that financial struggles have resulted in the players having only one meal a day. “My players at the clubhouse survive on one meal a day. Our fans should be visiting them at the clubhouse to help them. This way, you can expect maximum output on the ground.”
Luanda Villa will be facing Kisumu All Stars for NSL match week 20 fixture this weekend on Saturday at Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
