KRG The Don Consoles Gor Mahia FC Players With Ksh. 650,000 After Losing Their First Match
The ever-controversial Kenyan Dancehall artist KRG The Don over the weekend was in attendance for the Kenya Premier League fixture between the defending champions Gor Mahia FC and Police FC a match that was played at Police Sacco stadium in Nairobi.
Mideyah Digital Sports Desk earlier reported the match set a new history in Kenya Premier League as the minimum entrance fee ticket went for Ksh. 1,500 for regular, with VIP ticket going for Ksh. 2,000 while VVIP ticket went for Ksh. 3,000.
Austin Odhiambo opened the scoring for K’Ogalo, before former Gor Mahia midfielder Kenneth Muguna equalized for the law enforcers with Tito Okello also a former Gor player scored a brace to seal a 3-1 win for Police FC.
This defeat was Gor Mahia’s first loss of the season, that saw the end of their 19-game unbeaten run in FKFPL 2023/24 season. After the match KRG The Don went to Gor Mahia’s dressing room to show some love to K’Ogalo players after the defeat. The vocal artist showed his money masculinity by gifting the players a token of consolation of Ksh. 650,000 for the defeat.

In a video seen by Mideyah Digital Sports desk, Gor Mahia FC chairman Ambrose Rachier is seen calling KRG The Don to send them a message where ‘Bughaa’ gave the players words of encouragement before pledging to give them a small token to motivate them as they prepare for the next match. In the speech KRG said, “As men, sometimes it is about falling down, getting back up and looking forward,” “Life is like that, you go down, stand up, dust yourself and look forward to the next game. When you wake up tomorrow, the aim is at the price. “Use the pain from the defeat to fuel you to do well tomorrow.”
Gor Mahia FC are still on top of the table with 43 points, with an 8 points gap between the second placed Posta Rangers who have 35 points.
