Kisauni Thieves Steal 2 Metal Coffins, Iron Sheets From Local Mosque
Police have launched investigations into the theft of of coffins from a mosque in Kisauni, Mombasa.
Mideyah Digital has learnt the thieves broke into Masjid Mar-Haba Mosque in Kisauni and made away with two metal coffins and 10 iron sheets which were intended for construction at the prayer house.
According to police reports and statement from area residents the thieve who are unknown committed the crime on the night of Thursday, February 1.
Special Prayers to Harm The thieves
Hamid noted that the body of the deceased had been washed and prepared for burial when it was discovered the coffin which was to be used to carry him to his resting place was missing.
He disclosed that elders at the mosque had decided to do special prayers known as Abadir targeting the thieves and which are expected to cause havoc in their lives even as police continue with investigations.
News of the theft went viral on social media in a movie that left countless jaws on the floor.

Netizens Are Stunned
Innumerable people who commented on the issue, especially Mombasa residents sent a plea to the thieve to surrender to police and return the stolen aluminium coffins and the iron sheets before hell drops on them.
Netizens were thrown aback by the theft with quite a number taking to social media to condemn the thieves for not respecting the house of God and the dead.
It should be noted that Mombasa has been dealing with mosque thefts for some time now.
There have been countless cases of thieves stealing shoes left outside different mosques across Mombasa and neighbouring counties.
