Mike Sonko Pleads With DCI To Nab Scammers Using His Name To Con Unsuspecting Kenyans

Former Nairobi county governor Mike Sonko has sent out a plea to Kenya police and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to bring to boo people who have been scamming Kenyans using his name.

 

Irate Mike Sonko disclosed that the scammers had become too much and needed to be contained before stealing from more Kenyans.

 

Taking to his official social media pages, the flamboyant politician sent out a warning to the scammers as he promised them that their days were numbered.

The politician also shared screengrabs of fake, rather parody Facebook pages and groups running under his name which are used by the scammers to con Kenyans.

 

“Hawa matapeli wanaotapeli Wakenya kutumia jina langu wamekuwa too much, and I hereby declare that through the help of DCI and other government investigative agencies, we are coming for you. Enough is enough. Your days are numbered. Wait and see from today. Taka taka gasia nyinyi.” Mike Sonko wrote.

Quite a number of those who camped on the comments section of Sonko’s post admitted that indeed they have at one point been scammed by the cons masquerading as Mike Sonko.

 

Mideyah Digital understands that this is not the first time Mike Sonko has publicly called out cons who have been stealing from Kenyans using his name.

 

About eight months ago, Mike Sonko shared a video recording of himself saying that he had received reports that some impersonators disguising themselves as him on social media lying to Kenyans that they were offering fake giveaways and loans.
