Landlord Pays January Rent For Tenants, Adds Them Money For Shopping
A Kenyan landlord identified as Kamau has warmed hearts online and left many questioning the kind of landlords they have.
In an undated video shared by Kenya Gossip, an online media platform, the landlady called for a meeting on New Year’s Eve to enjoy a chit chat moment with her tenants.
It is during the meeting that she announced plans to fulfil a promise her husband made to their tenants in 2023 leaving them in hearty cheers and ululations.

According to her as recorded in the video, the landlord promised to pay rent for all their tenants in January 2024 as she made it clear that it was already covered.
She also noted that they always cook whenever they hold such meetings and this year, they saw it wise to distribute the money to each household in their apartment to help the tenants cater for shopping especially for kids as they get back to school.
“The people who were last here, Kamau took the initiative and said he was going to pay rent for all tenants for this January. This month there is no one who is going to pay rent,” she started her speech attracting huge cheers

“We have decided to give you some money because last year we cooked and ate during the meeting. But this one, we said instead of cooking we give you the money to help you with shopping.
To the lucky tenants, she went ahead to declare that they will not be paying rent every January.
“We have decided to make it a continuous thing.”she concluded as she handed them envelopes with cash
