Former Manchester United and France international Louis Saha wants the Red Devils to sign his fellow Frenchman Karim Benzema from Saudi Arabia side Al-Ittihad as he feels the seasoned striker would significantly uplift the struggling United squad.

Speaking to BettingOdds.com, Louis Saha said; “Benzema will shake up the United frontline and that’s what they need.” “He will definitely score goals and he will link up the play a lot better.”
Though, Saha noted that United bringing Benzema to Old Trafford is next to impossibility as he can’t see it happening, “It’s just a dream, but Karim is still a very professional guy, he’s the type of striker that Hojlund will learn from, but that’s just a fantasy.”

He went on to criticize for the team’s treatment to Rasmus Hojlund for not adequately supporting him in the attacking position, resulting in the striker’s goal drought during his debut Premier League season with Hojlund scoring only one goal.
“It’s unfair to give him the responsibility of the number nine position alone without an experienced player around him.”
“You can have talented wingers or offensive midfielders, but being a striker is a different mentality.”
Manchester United have struggled with scoring goals this season having managed to score only 22 goals in 20 matches.
