Revealed! Casemiro Main Reason Why Manchester United Didn’t Sign Harry Kane

Manchester United have been one the longest admirers for the England and former Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane.

United who have been struggling to  get a proper Centre Forward since Dutch international Robin van Persie left the club in 2016.

Due to unreliability of their French man Antony Martial who was struggling with recurring injuries, United had to look for a backup striker with their attempts to get a young goal poacher bearing no fruits only for them to land the signings of older strikers who couldn’t play at top level football for long.

United signed the likes of Uruguay international Edison Cavani from PSG, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Nigerian star Odion Ighalo on loan and a sensational return of 36 year old Cristiano Ronaldo (then) in 2021 all these signings didn’t seem of help to Manchester United striking department.

After all this, United turned their attention to England’s all Time Top Scorer Harry Kane but the deal looked impossible due to the arrival of Brazilian heavyweight Casemiro from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022 which cost Manchester United £60m+ £10m in add-ons.

According to The Athletic;

“Because The England striker’s wages would have been too great to work into FFP regulations” the money United had used on securing Casemiro’s signature made Kane’s deal impossible who eventually signed for Germany champions Bayern Munich, and has so far scored 20 goals in Bundesliga after 16 matches this season making him the leading goal scorer.
