Lawyer Funds Graduation Party of Graduand Filmed Going Home on Foot For Lacking Fare

Collins Wanderi, Kenyan lawyer has come for the rescue of a recent graduate who walked from graduation ground to home on foot for lacking fare.

 

The Kenyatta University graduate identified as Philip Solanka travelled all the way from Namanga to Nairobi for graduation but heartbreakingly, his mother never attended due to financial constraints.

 

On his graduation day, Philip was filmed in graduation regalia walking across city matatus in distress going to a friend who had hosted him.

When I came for the graduation, I didn’t have anything and had no money. A friend was hosting me” Philip revealed.

 

The viral video of him attending his graduation as a loner and walking on foot from graduation ground, has made one lawyer to send him money for graduation party.

 

Please give me the contacts of this #Boychild. I will give him a goat to go and celebrate with his mother.” the lawyer said.

 

“When I was graduating from the University of Nairobi I could only afford to bring a few people from the village and I bought them mkate na soda for lunch.” he added.

 

” However before 3 years we’re over after my graduation Divinity favoured me and my hard work and I crossed the M mark.

“Only then did I organise a party for my kin. His situation mirrors mine in many ways. Leteni hiyo namba nitanunulia huyu jamaa mbuzi ya Christmas.” Says Collins Wanderi.

 

Upon his request, Mr Wanderi came to contact with Philip Solanka and gave him money to go and celebrate his graduation milestone with his mother.

 

Prior to this, Philip revealed that the tough economic times and financial struggles never let his mother attend his graduation day.

However, he is a happy man despite the challenges to have graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Kenyatta University.
