Melodious Tanzanian musician Jay Melody has left his fans at a crossroads after announcing that he is quitting music.
Jay Melody, who is famed for massive hit songs such as Mbali Nawe shocked millions of fans with his sudden revelation through his Instagram page.
In an Insta-story update that has since expired, the musician used very few words to disclose the latest development.

“I quit music,” Jay Melody wrote.
It is not yet clear why the musician decided to ditch his music career.
Jay Melody’s revelation confused most of his fans with quite a number pleading with him not to leave them high and dry.
Mideyah Digital cannot authoritatively confirm if indeed the musician has quit music, or he is just pranking his fans.
His announcement came as a shocker to many people since the musician has been doing exemplary well both in his home country Tanzania and Kenya.
This comes about three months after Jay Melody was entangled in a scandal during his music tour in Kenya.

As earlier reported by a cross-section of the Kenyan media, Jay Melody was arrested in Nairobi over an alleged assault.
SPM Buzz reported that Jay Melody was arrested after he allegedly got into a fight with a music promoter in Mombasa.
The promoter reported the matter at Bamburi Police Station but Jay Melody had already traveled to Nairobi.
However, he was apprehended while in Nairobi and held at Kilimani Police Station before being released hours later.
