Diddy, Cassie Settle Abuse Lawsuit Day After Filing It
Renowned American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs and his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura have swiftly resolved a legal dispute just one day after she accused him of rape and sex trafficking.
In a joint statement, the pair announced that they had reached a deal to their “mutual satisfaction,” though the specific terms of the agreement remain undisclosed.
The settlement was officially disclosed through a release issued by Cassie’s lawyer, Douglas Wigdor.

“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support,” read a statement from Cassie.
Wigdor, representing Cassie, commended his client’s strength in going public with the lawsuit, stating, “I am very proud of Ms. Ventura for having the strength to go public with her lawsuit. She ought to be commended for doing so.”
Diddy expressed his sentiments in his statement, saying, “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”
Earlier in the week, the R&B singer filed a lawsuit against Diddy, alleging that he subjected her to a decade-long cycle of abuse and violence.
The lawsuit portrayed the musician as a “serial domestic abuser,” detailing instances of physical harm inflicted on Cassie, including black eyes, bruises, and blood, purportedly starting in 2005 when she first met the rapper.
Diddy denied the allegations, asserting that Cassie was attempting to extort him by demanding $30 million, threatening to write a damaging book about their relationship if her demands were not met.

His lawyer dismissed the claims as offensive and outrageous.
Cassie’s lawyer disclosed that Diddy had offered a substantial eight figures payment to prevent the lawsuit, but his client chose to speak out.
