Relatives Behead Village Councilor In Land Wrangles.
Security operatives in Bukomansimbi District have arrested three people suspected of coming up with a plot to murder a village councilor.
The victim identified as Aisha Nakirayi, a resident of Butenga Village was beheaded by his relatives amidst land wrangles. It is said that the disagreements between them started when she inherited half an acre of land from her parents and decided to farm on it.

Police in Butenga was able to arrest three people including her niece Hussein Ssebulime 20, who is accused of carrying out the murder, Kakooza Bruhan 55, who is said to have housed the killer during the plotting time and her brother in-law Ssengendo who is accused of funding the entire murder plot.
According to reports, the suspects did not approve of Nakirayi owning the land and for a long time battled it out with her in the courts of law until it was ruled that she was the rightful owner, something that did not please them. It was not long after she was discovered dead in a nearby garden.

“The good thing is we have all three suspects; the killer, the funder and the one who housed the killer in police custody,” deputy RDC Bukomansimbi, Mr. Fred Kalema Pax said, also warning other criminals out there about how they will be arrested.
In his defense, Ssengendo denied the allegations stating that he had no reason of murdering her since there was no bad blood between them.

“I did not have a problem with Aisha. She just had issues with my wife and they stem right from home because they are related,” he said.
