Singing songs of praise evoke a deep spirit of prayer and meditation to the creator.

Songs however play different roles and meaning according to music register, gospel singers sing according to own target.

Televangelist Ezekiel Odero during a church sermon, criticised Moji Short Baba’s song Dance ya Kanisa as madness.

According to the Televangelist; most contemporal gospel musicians have beautiful vocals with less power that activates God’s presence.

Nyinyi sauti zenu nzuri na mnapeleka nguvu ng’ambo. Wazimu! Na mnataka Mungu asikie?” Pastor Ezekiel Criticises gospel artists.

Further, compared the song Ameniweka Huru and Moji’s where he claimed, the power in Ameniweka Huru and tone used, activates God’s presence within a twingle of an eye.

To Dance ya Kanisa, Moji has got nice vocals but the song lacks power. It fails to activate God’s presence.

Following the case, televangelist urged gospel artists to focus on power in the song to activate or move God’s presence rather than focusing on dances and vocals.
