Man Kills Wife, Buries Her In Shallow Grave
Shock and fear gripped the residents of Kakonde – Bulamu, Mityana after a man allegedly murdered his wife in cold blood and buried her without anyone’s knowledge.
Wamala region police spokesperson Kawala Racheal, addressed the murder confirming that Tumukunde Jackson, the suspect behind the murder of a woman identified as Kobusingye, had already been arrested as investigations go on.
Police revealed that on 24th October, 2023, Tumukunde rushed to police to file a missing persons report for Kobusingye who he said hadn’t been home for some time. This prompted the family who opened a search hunt to find their loved one.

Amidst the search, Nnaloongo Nagawa Nanyonjo Harriet, a resident came across a shallow grave in a nearby garden close to Tumukunde’s home. They immediately alerted the police who dug it out and discovered Kobusingye’s body.
According to some neighbors, the couple has for a long time been at loggerheads and on many occasions they’ve had to separate the fight. Kobusingye who couldn’t take it anymore decided to move out of Tumukunde’s home.

At the time of her death, the couple had just solved their indifferences are were back together.
The deceased is suspected to have died from suffocation because she had a polythene bag tied around her head. Her body had been rolled in a mosquito net according to the police report.
The suspect is currently detained at Mityana police station and the body of the deceased was transported to Mityana General Hospital for postmortem as investigations go on.
