Police Officer Beats Colleague For Allegedly Damaging Office Printer

In Kericho East sub-county, Kericho County, a police officer assaulted his colleague after summoning him to the station due to a printing machine malfunction.

 

According to a police report, at around 4:00 PM on Tuesday, Gideon Kipng’etich asked Caleb Manani to come to the station to address suspicions about Kipng’etich’s computer and printer usage before they encountered a technical problem.

 

Upon Manani’s arrival at the station, an argument ensued between the two officers.

 

“On arrival at the station, an argument ensued between the two officers and in the process Kipngetich grabbed Manani and pushed him on the ground and he started punching him on his face causing injuries on his mouth and nose,” revealed the report.

 

The incident also led to damage of equipment, including a printer valued at Ksh. 30,000.

 

Manani was transported to Kericho Referral Hospital, where he was later discharged in stable condition
