Eliud Kipchoge Shifts Focus To Upcoming Olympics
World marathon record holder Eliud Kipchoge has said he is focused on the upcoming Olympics.
Eliud Kipchoge informed reporters that despite his poor Boston marathon finish two months prior, he is motivated to continue making history by winning his third Olympic marathon title the following year. He has two Olympic marathon gold medals, from 2016 and 2021.
If Kipchoge wins a third gold at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, he will be unquestionably the Games’ greatest marathoner and will achieve a victory dripping with symbolism.
Speaking during the interview, he said, “The priority now is to focus on the Olympics and win a third time. The other challenges will come later,””I’m trying to forget what has happened in Boston. It’s caught in my mind, but I believe that what has passed has passed.” He said.
He also insisted that it was not time for retirement. “If the time comes to hang up the racing shoes, I will say bye to other big things in sport.” He concluded.
