It was a heartwarming moment as a woman welcomed a newborn in a Mombasa-bound Madaraka Express train.
‘We are delighted to share a heartwarming story of a mother who welcomed her bundle of joy on board the Madaraka Express Passenger Service train to Mombasa.” wrote the Kenya Railways.
The woman delivered with the help of a doctor onboard together with the assistance of the trains’ Passenger attendant.
“We were blessed to have Dr. Indanyenyi Luseso onboard who performed the delivery, assisted by our Passenger Attendant, Ms. Mary Nyiha.
Thereafter, she was rushed to Mariakani Sub County hospital for further medical assistance as they reported that both the mother and the baby are okay.
“We wish her well.” Kenya Railways concluded.
