Driver In Court For Blocking Rachel Ruto’s Convoy
A matatu driver was today Wednesday, June 21, arraigned in court over allegedly blocking Rachel Ruto’s motorcade.
The driver facing obstruction charges says he was taken to Kabete Police Station and is now awaiting court’s final verdict.
“They told me that I was obstructing the first lady’s vehicles. I am now awaiting the court’s decision,” he stated.
A passenger who was in the vehicle while accusing the police of mistreating the driver, notes that the driver waited for about 15 minutes after the convoy had passed but was still taken custody.
“Is this service to all? An innocent driver was taken to court for nothing. I now see why innocent people are languishing in jail.”
