Manchester City Wins The UEFA Champions League
Manchester City defeated Inter Milan 1-0 in Istanbul to win the Champions League.
Pep Guardiola side completed the historic treble in Istanbul after adding the champions league trophy to already won FA and premier league.
Inter Milan started the game strong and got an early chance though Brozovic but his effort went over the bar.Kevin De Bruyne was forcedd off with an injury in the first half.
In the second half, Manchester City increased their game, and they got the only goal of the game through Rodri, who met Bernado Silva’s deflected effort.
Inter Milan almost drew level immediately, but Dimarco’s effort hit the crossbar, while Lukaku’s effort was saved off the line by Ederson as City managed to win the game.
Speaking after the game, Rodri said it was a dream come true.
“I’m emotional. This is a dream come true,” he said. “All these guys [the fans] around here waited, I don’t know how many years—20, 30, 40. I’ve been here just four days, but we deserve it. The last few years we were so close; it is a dream for all of us.” He said.
