Man Accuses Mother Of Cursing Him

A man left people in shock when he openly accused his biological mother of being a source of his misfortune after he turned down her sexual advances.
Kigozi Eria, 33, faced off with his mother Namatovu Robinah during a village meeting that was chaired by the LC1 chairman and had close to 300 people in attendance.
During the meeting, Kigozi claimed he had tried to settle down but all the eight women he had married at his home ended up running away and he believes his mother who he claims is a witch is a cause of his misfortune.
Kigozi, who is Namatovu’s fourth child, further accused her mother’s family of practicing incest as a ritual. They allegedly tried to get him to sleep with his mother if he wanted to attain wealth and bear children, something which he turned down and has been suffering since then.
“Every time I speak against their incest, my mother and uncle come up with false crimes and send police after me. I have so far been in and out of prison five times but was never presented before court for all the crimes,” he said.
In her defense, Namatovu, a resident of Ntooke in Kayunga District revealed that Kigozi, who is her fourth child, was being influenced by his uncles who were on a witch hunt to destroy her.
She pleaded before the local authorities to come to her aid rubbishing her son’s claims stating that he was determined to destroy her because of the piece of land she is occupying.
Kigozi who was causing chaos was arrested and taken to police while the probation and Social Welfare officer, Collins Kafeero was able to call the situation to order and suggested a meeting with family heads to see that the matter is resolved before the two harmed each other.
