Lautaro Martinez Sails Inter Milan Into Champions League Final
Inter Milan reached the finals of the Champions League after beating AC Milan 1-0 at the San Siro.
AC Milan offered very little in the first half, with the only best chance falling to Rafael Leao, who saw his effort just drift wide across Inter’s goal. Mike Maigan brilliantly saved Edin Dzeko’s effort as he kept the score 0-0 at halftime.
Lautaro Martinez eventually scored the winner in the second half after being set up by Lukaku, ensuring Inter Milan booked their place in the finals, which will be in Istanbul.
Speaking after the game, Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez was happy with the team’s performance.
“If the group is united and goes in the same direction, things become easier. Inter deserve to win these nights. We always work to improve, and I want to give my best. After the World Cup, we knew we had another chance to reach the final, and here we are. Whoever the opponent is, it will be the last game; we have arrived here and want to go as high as possible.” He said.
Inter Milan will either face Manchester City or Real Madrid in the finals.
