Home » Sheikh Jassim Improves Bid To Buy Manchester United

Yesterday, Sheikh Jassim submitted an improved bid to the Glazers family to buy Manchester United.

Sheikh Jassim, who originally made the offer through his Nine Two Foundation, has since revised it and proposes to own 100% of the team.

The Sheikh has pledged to make significant investments both on and off the pitch, including wiping off the over £500 million in debt now owed as a result of the Glazers’ unpopular ownership.

However, sources believe that Sheikh Jassim’s revised offer is still less than the approximate £6 billion that Ratcliffe’s proposal has valued United at altogether.

This week, information about the procedure was supposed to be made public, and preferred bidding status was supposed to be disclosed. The new offer from Sheikh Jassim, however, is likely to cause a further delay as it is taken into consideration and evaluated.

Manchester United has been on sale for the last couple of months after the fans demanded a change in ownership after little progress has been made in the last few years in terms of transfer policy and many other things.
