Nairobi County 'Kanjos' Get New Vehicles

Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja on Tuesday morning, May 16 handed over County Askaris new vehicles to replace the old and dilapidated cars.

In a tweet following a short ceremony held at city hall entrance, sakaja said the vehicle will be deployed in various sectors such as security and compliance, inspectorate, revenue, health, environment, and social and will be used by the County constable

“These vehicles are not for individual’s luxury and comfort. They are meant to serve the people of Nairobi. One of the things we promised when we came into office is to address the issue of dilapidated vehicles in the county, we are doing so in phases,” he stated.

‘Out with the old, in with the new. Happy to flag off 19 new vehicles that will aid in serving you better. In a short while the old jalopies (and attitude) will be completely phased out’ said the governor
