USA Takes On South Africa Over Ammunition To Russia
Following several threats imposed on China by USA if it tried to supply arms to Russia, USA ambassador has blamed South Africa for supply of ammunition to Russia, Ambassador Reuben Brigety told a media briefing the US believed weapons and ammunition had been laden onto a Russian freighter that docked at a Cape Town naval base in December.
“The arming of Russia by South Africa… is fundamentally unacceptable.”
In responding to this , the State house of South Africa nullified the assertion saying that it was a personal view with no truth and that Reuben Brigety wants to destruct the good relationship and cooperation between South Africa and USA.
On the other side the Washington State Department responded slightly saying investigation will be done on the issue. Adding that they have plans to strengthen and cooperate with South Africa on health, climate and trade.
