Arsenal have suffered a major blow in their title race after both William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko were ruled out of the season.

According to their reports, Zinczenko’s injury occurred during Sunday’s game against Newcastle United, which is why he was substituted in the second half of the team’s 2-0 victory at St. James’ Park.

Fortunately, the Ukrainian won’t require surgery. On the other side, due to a back problem, William Saliba was forced to be replaced as Arsenal lost to Sporting CP and were eliminated from the Europa League. Since then, the defender has been sidelined in every game.

The blow comes at such a critical time in the season for the Gunners as they try to fight for the title against Manchester City. Arsenal have three games remaining, two of which are at home against Brighton and Wolves, and the other is against Nottingham Forest.

The Gunners are currently second in the Premier League table with 81 points from 35 games played, while Manchester City are at the top with 82 points from 34 games played.
