Aaron Ramsdale Set To Be Rewarded By Arsenal
Arsenal are set to begin contract talks with goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale over a new deal.
Ramsdale’s current contract expires in the summer of 2026, but the Gunners plan to extend the contract after an impressive debut campaign in which he has helped Mikel Arteta fight for the title.
The 24-year-old’s current deal is an initial five-year contract. Having been acquired from Sheffield United in 2021 for £30 million, he has been very important this season, with impressive saves against Liverpool last month, Newcastle last weekend, and Arsenal remained in the title race.
He recently joined Petr Cech and Ederson as the only goalkeepers to keep 10 away clean sheets in a season.
Arsenal also plan on building for the future with their young core, who have been impressive this season, with contract talks for Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Reiss Nelson all in progress.
