Murdered For Unknown Reasons
Residents in Muyenje-Buloba woke up to the dead body of a woman believed to have been raped, murdered and body thrown in their area.
The deceased’s identity was not known considering that she did not have any documentation on her. The area where her body was dumped did not show any signs of struggle, making the locals believe that she had been killed from somewhere else and her body carried to that spot.
According to police reports, the body was lying beside a pile of clothes, bedsheets, cosmetics and ARVs, a drug used by HIV/AIDS patients.
One of the residents, Nalya Christopher, the deceased was seen on Friday night around 9 PM walking around Kataliko Village near the place where her body was dumped. He believes she was first raped before being strangled to death by unknown persons.
Lukwago Francis the LC1 chairperson called upon police to tighten security in their area citing that this was not the first time dead bodies were being dumped in their village.
