Pastor Ezekiel Lawyers: We’ve Not Been Paid
Lawyers representing Pastor Ezekiel Odero of the New Life and Prayer Centre in Mavueni, Kilifi County have publicly admitted of not being paid for their services.
“Mawakili hawajalipwa, lakini tumesimama kwa wima, wakona imani kua ni jukumu ya mawakili kutetea dini ya KiKristo,” they claimed
The lawyers Danstan Omari and Cliff Ombeta amongst others further claimed that the church activities were at a standstill due to the frozen accounts which accounted for lack of funds.
“The government has frozen all the bank accounts associated with Pastor Ezekiel, including that of his wife, children, and school he manages,” Omari claimed.
Omari further stated that the government shouldn’t have obtained an order of freezing the embattled Pastor’s accounts for he had no foreign account.
The lawyers wholly asked the Court to stop delivering unilaterally decisions that affect his church, school, restaurant and other businesses at the 65-acre parcel of land in Mavueni, Kilifi County.
