Manchester United were beaten 1-0 by West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday evening.

Erik Ten Hag’s team has now lost back-to-back Premier League games, and they find themselves under threat of failing to qualify for the top four.

West Ham got the important goal in the first half through a costly mistake by David De Gea, who let Benrahama’s shot pass him. On the other hand, United had their chances to score, but Fabianski stood strong to deny Marcus Rashford the chance.

In the second half, West Ham scored a second goal, but it was ruled out for a foul on De Gea. United pushed for a leveller, but Anthony Martial’s effort was brilliantly saved by Fabianski as West Ham went on to hold on for the maximum three points.

Speaking after the game, Erik Ten Hag insisted the top four race was still in their hands.

It’s not about Liverpool; it’s about us, because if you look at the table, we have everything in our hands. If we bring our performance and our standards, we will win games. We don’t have to look to others; we have to look to ourselves, and we have to find a way to get back to our levels.” He said.
