James Harden Lifts The Sixers In A Win Against Celtics
James Harden led the Philadelphia Sixers to victory with a game-high 42 points. In the Eastern Conference semifinals, game four, they won 116-115.
The Sixers star bounced back well from poor performances in Game 3, as he came clutch for the Sixers as he hit the game-tying shot to take the game in overtime. He would late hit what would be the game winner, three from the corner.
The Boston Celtics also had the chance to win, but Marcus Smart’s late three-pointer at the buzzer did not count as he did not get his shot off in time.
In the contest, Joel Embiid had 34 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists. Maxey finished with 14 points, two steals, a block, and eight rebounds as the Sixers leveled the series at 2-2.
Jayson Tatum paced the Boston Celtics in scoring with a total of 24 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. Smart and Jaylen Brown each scored 23 and 21 points.
James Harden was happy with his performance. “I put the work in, and it was all about being aggressive. Tonight it was really do or die,” he said.
Game 6 will be played in Boston at the TD Garden.
