Mohamed Salah scored the winner as Liverpool kept hope of a top four finish alive after a 1-0 win over Fulham on Wednesday evening.

The Reds followed up their thrilling victory over Tottenham on Sunday with another victory at home, keeping their slim hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive as the season nears its conclusion.

Liverpool got a penalty kick when Issa Diop brought down Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez in the penalty box. The Egyptian scored from the penalty spot for his 28th goal of the year.

Fulham had their chances to score, but Allison kept his cool to deny shots from Willian in the first half. Allison saved Liverpool all three points as he saved Bobby Reid’s chance in stoppage time and kept his 99th Premier League clean sheet.

After the game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was very happy with his side’s performance.

”Super-strong opponent. I can’t respect any more what Marco Silva is doing there. I thought we controlled big parts of the game in the first half, but in the second half, it opened up. A really good team. It was tricky until the end. Five games in a row is good. I liked it a lot,” he said.
