As a norm at the Royal Media services, colleagues celebrate their departing fellow with hearty remarks climaxed by cake cutting. Waihiga’s case was no different as his colleagues led by Monday Report Presenter Trevor Ombija led the crew in singing, giving goodbye speech and witnessing the cake cutting.
Of the memorable moment remains Joyce Omondi’s message to her husband as he prepares for his next role.

Joyce in a beautiful and emotional surprise moment got on stage ready to shower her husband with words of blessing as he officially made an exit.
She first expressed her joy of getting to surprise her husband live on TV.
” I’m glad I finally get to surprise Waihiga on Air. He doesn’t like surprises.”
She further went ahead to give an adorable message to the News Night Presenter.
“I admire you, I really do! As a leader, a person and a human being. You are incredibly talented, and so hard working and I see the hours that you put in and I just honor you for it. I thank God for opening this door for you and I just know that your light is gonna shine brighter and brighter”
