Jimmy Butler Leads The Miami Heat In Eliminating The Milwaukee Bucks
The Miami Heat advanced to the second round of the NBA playoffs after beating the Milwaukee Bucks 128-126 in overtime.
The Miami Heat qualified for the playoffs through the play-in tournament by beating the Chicago Bulls. They then had to face the number one seed, the Milwaukee Bucks, in the first round. On Thursday morning they did the unexpected and eliminated the number one seed who were playing at home in overtime.
Jimmy Butler, who hit the game-tying shot in regular time, finished the game with 42 points on 17-33 field goal attempts. Bam Adebayo scored 20 points while Vincent added other 20 points.
For the heavily favored Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 38 points on 14-27 field goal attempts, while Khris Middleton finished with 33 points on 10-24 field goal attempts while also nailing four three-pointers.
The Miami Heat have already lost two of their stars, Tyler Herro and Oladipo, due to injury, but they did not let that dissapoint them as they went on to become the first number eight seed to knock out the number one seed in the first round.
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo said that their season was not a failure but rather a path toward success in the future.
