On Sunday, Manchester United qualified for the FA Cup final by defeating a tenacious Brighton team 6-5 on postgame penalties following a 0-0 tie in extra time.

 

Yesterday, David De Gea performed at his peak, assisting his club in securing a spot in another final under Erik Ten Hag. Over the course of 120 minutes, De Gea produced a number of superb stops to deny an inspired Brighton victory.

 

In the first half, the Seagulls had trouble converting their possessions into opportunities. Soon after the break, Paraguayan sensation Julio Enciso forced David de Gea to make his first noteworthy save, while Solly March was denied immediately after.

 

United also had their moments, with Bruno Fernandes posing a significant threat and Antony stretching Brighton but frequently misfiring with his last pass or attempt.

 

While Manchester United scored their penalty kicks through Casemiro, Dalot, Sancho, Rashford, andSabitzer, Brigton scored through Mac Allister, Gross, Undav, Estupinan, and Dunk during the penalty kicks.

 

The sixth penalty for Brighton was converted by Webster, and Weghorst immediately stepped up to score the next one for United.March then took the penalty shot, sending it well over the crossbar, giving Lindelof a chance to seal the victory.
