Minor Dies After Falling Into A Pit Latrine In Migori
A Four Year Old Girl has died after falling into a pit latrine in Jiw- Dendi estate in Awendo town, Migori County.
According to the area Assistant Chief Beatrice Awuor Ochier the girl was playing when she unfortunately slid into the pit with efforts to retrieve her alive not bearing fruits.
He further asked property owners in Awendo to always to ensure that all pit latrines and wells are well covered to avoid future incidents.
The body of the deceased has since been moved to Rapcom hospital mortuary pending police investigation.
