Drama As Wife Brings Witchdoctors to Her Marital Home
Drama ensued in Nabweru South, Nansana, Wakiso District after a village chairperson battled it out with one of her residents who brought traditional doctors in her compound without getting permission from the Local Council.
The culprit, Margaret Nalule appeared with the witchdoctors in her marital home claiming her husband, only identified as Makubuya, was a member of a cult for money rituals. She claims the evil spirits from her husband’s actions continuously attacked her family prompting her to seek traditional healing to help cleanse her home.
“I want the evil spirits uprooted from my home before they kill all of us. They will kill all my children because my husband made sacrifices for them to get rich but they are out for blood,” the disgruntled Nalule cried out.
According to Nalule, all the problems in her home started when she gave birth to her first child and her husband dedicated it in a shrine as a sacrifice to his gods. This was followed by a series of strange illnesses that forced her to leave her marital home two years back in fear that she would be killed by the spirits. Her return for the spiritual cleansing from the traditional doctors would see her family back together in their home.
This did not go as planned as the LC chairperson; Dorothy Nankya interrupted the ceremony seeking to know if Nalule had sought permission from the local leaders.
This birthed a verbal war between the two women with Nankya insisting that there would not be any activity in Makubuya’s compound without his consent. She claimed that Nalule was acting out of spite because she abandoned her marital home and her husband did not beg for her return.
“I advise women not to leave their homes if they still love their husbands. She is a bitter housewife that is angry at her husband for not begging for her return when she left her marriage two years ago,” she said.
Nankya went ahead and ordered the traditional doctors plus the police that guarded them to leave Makubuya’s residence until they sought his consent.
