Manchester City On The Verge Of Securing Treble This Season
Manchester City secured their ticket to a first FA Cup final in four years, thanks to a comfortable 3-0 victory against Sheffield United at Wembley Stadium.
With the win, City are now on the verge of making it a treble this season, having secured a slot in the semis of UEFA champions league and retaining the EPL tittle.
Manchester could meet their Neighbouring rivals Manchester united in the final should the limping united edge out Brighton in today second semi of FA Cup at Wembley stadium.
Manchester City got their first goal on the stroke of Half Time when Daniel Jebbison felled Bernardo Silva in the area and Riyad Mahrez stepped forward to fire home City’s opener. Sheffield United continued to be the masters of their own downfall shortly after the break too, when their defence parted like the red sea to allow Mahrez to meanders through it and double his tally for the day.
The Algerian international wasn’t finished there though, and after affording the freedom of Wembley by the Sheffield United defence, he stroked home his third to become the first player to score an FA Cup semi-final hat-trick since 1958.
