Gor Mahia Reclaim Top Spot After Edging Stubborn Police

Gor Mahia FC regained the top spot after edging  Police FC 1-0 in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match played at  Kasarani Stadium on Saturday afternoon

Kogalo’s all-important goal was scored by midfielder Austin Odhiambo after converting a nice assist from Striker Benson Omalla in the 56 minutes.

 

Despite the match largely being dominated by Police, The green Army solidly defended the slim win to earn the ”Sirkal derby” bragging rights and eventually taking home the maximum points.

 

A majority of police players who featured in the tough encounter were previously Gor players. among them Captain Musa Mohamed, Francis Kahata, Clifton Miheso. Others were Haron Shakava and  Yusuf Mainge (both started from bench)

 

Kogalo will definitely thank Nzoia Sugar For silencing Reigning champion Tusker FC 1-0 in sudi stadium in Bungoma County. Gor are now on top with 56 points and closely followed by the brewers’ with 54 points and Nzoia Sugar in 3rd position with 51 points.

Elsewhere Ulinzi Stars were shockingly defeated by Relegated threaten Wazito FC 1-0 in Muhoroni while Bidco United Posta Rangers and City Stars registered Maximum points while Bandari and Talanta fc share the spoil.
