Mombasa Governor Settles Bill For 58 Patients
Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir has settled bills for 58 patients as muslims mark Eid-Ul.Fitr.
The patients according to the Governor were unable to settle their bills thus detained in Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital.
He further increased the number of health workers in the facility.
“I visited the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital and released 58 patients who were unable to pay their bills. Additionally, increased the medical staff capacity by hiring 30 nurses, 12 doctors, 6 Lab technicians and 6 Pharmaceutical technicians.
The Governor also to the delight of county employees announced that county staff salaries are being sorted out.
I also took the opportunity to announce that as a County Government, we are now current with staff salaries having initiated payment of last month’s arrears today. It is important to note that even in the midst of the national economic crisis that has seen several government institutions fail to honor their obligations, Mombasa county take pride in settling all our dues through strict and prudent financial management as I promised in my manifesto.
