Businessman Butchered To Death By Unknown Assailants
Police in Kabale District are hunting for an unknown gang that attacked and butchered a businessman to death as he was coming from a bar.
The deceased 48-year-old Mbabazi Livingstone, a resident of Kyerero Cell, Maziba Sub county was on Tuesday spotted in a bar merrymaking and buying alcohol for other people, something that made him look like he had a lot of money on him.
When he decided to retire home at around 10:00 PM, he was gruesomely attacked by unknown machete wielding assailants who cut him into pieces. He sustained serious injuries on his head and right arm leading to extensive bleeding and death.
Police were alerted by residents who saw the dead body and a team of investigators arrived at the scene.
According to Kigezi Region Police spokesperson Maate Elly, no suspect has been arrested but investigations are ongoing and a murder case has been filed under file number CRB 298/2023.
After the postmortem, the body was handed over to the relatives for burial
