School Closed Following Spiritual Attacks
There was panic at Ssekaza Memorial Primary School in Mpigi District after a number of pupils were reportedly attacked by demonic spirits.
According to the school stakeholders, the school was indefinitely shut down after it recorded many cases in the past weeks about pupils being attacked by the strange spirits that stop them from attending their classes.
The head teacher of the school, Namagembe Juliet, revealed that the school had not had any lessons ever since the pupils reported back from the Easter holiday. She claimed they now are stuck with the victims because whenever the said demons attack the pupils, they affect whoever comes up to help.
“We are stuck and we do not know what to do next. If there’s anyone out there with an idea on how to deal with this problem, please help us,” she said.
A group of angry parents stormed the school premises’, demanding an explanation about what was happening to their children. The most affected were primary six and seven pupils and when the demons attacked, they left them speaking in strange voices, fainting, jumping, and shouting while others behaved like they had mental issues.
The parents attempted to attack the school authorities but police intervened to help calm down the situation. They claimed the demonic spirits were brought by one of the residents for money rituals and in turn demanded for a sacrifice of six pupils, something they needed to solve immediately before the situation got out of hand.
“Some parents were threatening to carry out mob action which we can’t allow. We advised all pupils to go back to their respective homes as we solve the matter,” Mugarura Ronald, officer in charge of Nakirebe Police stated.
